Why did you decide to become a Cluster 4 NCP? I decided to pursue the role of a Cluster 4 NCP because I’m strongly interested in supporting Europe’s progress in key digital technologies. I view this role as an opportunity to connect people and ideas, support meaningful projects, and help ensure that digital research yields tangible benefits for society and the economy.

What do you like most in your daily professional life? What I enjoy most in my daily professional life is the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of experts and innovators who share my passion for shaping the future of technology and industry. Each day brings new challenges and learning opportunities, whether it's through managing projects, engaging with stakeholders, or driving initiatives that have a real impact. This constant interaction not only encourages personal growth but also allows me to contribute directly to advancing our strategic goals in the digital sector.

What would you say are the most promising areas of digital in your country? In Romania, some of the most promising areas in digital technology include artificial intelligence, which is being gradually adopted across various sectors such as healthcare and finance, and cloud computing, which is increasingly utilised by businesses seeking flexibility and efficiency. Cybersecurity is also gaining importance as digital infrastructure expands. Additionally, e-governance is developing, with efforts to improve access to public services online. Fintech is another fast-growing area, supported by a dynamic startup ecosystem and increasing demand for digital financial services. These sectors reflect Romania's potential to strengthen its position in the European digital landscape.

How helpful is the IDEALIST network for you? The IDEALIST network is a valuable resource for anyone involved in ICT projects under Horizon Europe. It helps connect stakeholders across sectors, supports proposal development and project management, and offers access to best practices in research and innovation. By increasing visibility and promoting collaboration, IDEALIST plays a key role in strengthening project success and impact. In summary, the IDEALIST network can be a crucial asset in enhancing proposers’ engagement with ICT projects under Horizon Europe by providing support, connections, and visibility necessary for successful project execution and innovation.

Tell us what you would like to share with your peers as inspiration? One should embrace the concept of Lifelong Learning (LLL). In the fast-evolving landscape of digital, staying updated with the latest advancements is not just beneficial, it's essential. I would encourage everyone to cultivate a habit of continuous learning. This not only enhances your skills but also prepares you for unforeseen challenges and opportunities.
