Workshop @ ICT Event Vienna
Room 2.44, 04/12/2018 (17:00-17:45)
Europe, Japan and Korea are strategic partners to address the world’s current challenges such as global warming, economic crisis, security threats, inequality, natural disasters and ageing society. ICT technologies such as IoT, cloud computing, 5G, satellite networks, big data and artificial intelligence are key drivers to address those common challenges in a collaborative way, thus mutualizing resources, sharing best practices and exchanging know-how.
By following the EU’s ambition to take a leading position in fostering global cooperation, this networking session aims at bringing relevant international stakeholders to exchange around the theme: “inspiring a digital society”. The objective is therefore to:
- Present outcomes from preceding collaboration examples with Japan and Korea, exchange lessons-learnt and share success stories from experienced invited guests.
- Identify challenges and future research directions to bring a human-centered society empowered with the technology into reality, in which people can lead high-quality, safe and enjoyable lives
- Present future funding opportunities for EU, Japan and Korea collaboration; provide hints and tips for successful collaboration from the experienced participants
- Provide a networking opportunity for those who would like to benefit from the complementary expertise of those 3 strong economies and support participants in building future partnerships and cooperation.
